Anatoly Akue (b. in 1986) - artist of street art, painter, graphist.
For the artist who lives and works in Montenegro, in symbiosis with the natural environment, nature itself and its relationship with innermost human nature are the source and object of reflections and creative research.
The artist's language is multidimensional and multifaceted. It combines several cultures and formats of fine art such as graffiti, abstract and figurative painting, drawing.
His artistic career started in 1997 with street art in which he gained the international reputation. During this period a recognizable style had been found and numerous large- scale projects were implemented. The geography of street art and monumental paintings by Anatoly Akue outspreads widely - from Australia and Japan to Germany, Denmark, Hong Kong, Italy, Holland and Montenegro.
In 2018 the artworks of Anatoly Akue were exhibited at Venice Biennale of Architecture.
Since 2010 the ideology of Buddhism and the Buddhist practices are playing an important role in the way of the perception of reality by the artist, his relations with the external space, the senses and meanings and also in the prosses of creation of the artworks.
In his work Anatoly Akue is oriented towards psychological experiments, the search for new forms of communication with the outer world, a conversation with society and with oneself at the same time. One of the main objects of reflection and experimentation in his recent works is the disclosure and visualization of the inner emotional “field” through gestures and images, and also the connection of creative process with subconscious.
The aesthetics and "codes" of the graffiti language are integrated into the graphic and pictorial series of works created by the artist in his studio during the past few years.

The recognizable style of the artist was employed in his collaboration with Snickers, Nike, Reebok, Adidas, Hennessy, Tumi, Jimmy Choo, Jaguar, Suzuki, BBDO, Starbucks, MTC, RBK and some other brands.
Anatoly Akue is the author of a course for the artists which is focused on transmitting knowledge of psychosomatic and spiritual aspect of human potential in the art practice. First group of students completed the course in 2021.
